NEXT STAGE : YOUR STAGE

NOW IT’S YOUR TURN - THE STAGE IS YOURS

YOU can get to play the really big stages. Are you and your band having trouble getting out of the rehearsal room, and finding your way on to the stage? Do you dream big about making it big? Come to this year’s festival and learn more about what to do.

During Roskilde Festival 2013 you can experience NEXT STAGE : YOUR STAGE and get a rare peek into the booking process at the festival and find out how the bands you’ve never heard of get recognized. It’s hard work and takes knowledge – we can at least give you the knowledge.

There will be a line-up of exciting speakers, including one of Roskilde Festival’s bookers, who is booking for the upcoming stage Pavilion Junior. Also, we will have two blog editors, who will talk about how they discover the music, that most of us still don’t know about. A label manager from one of Copenhagen’s hippest record labels will provide insight about do’s and don’ts, when you have a demo and are trying to kick in the door. We have also invited a true DIY musician, who can tell a lot of stories about, how you don’t need fight the gatekeepers of the industry, if only you have the courage to do the work yourself. And finally, a connoisseur of social media will guide you in how to build a fan base and, not least, maintaining it.

IT’S A LONG WAY TO THE TOP – IF YOU WANNA ROCK ‘N’ ROLL
Next Stage : Your Stage is aimed at aspiring musicians, who dream about replacing the canvas of their camping pavilion with the canvas of the Pavilion Junior stage, but who need the inspiration to move on to the next stage of their careers.
